The 595,000SF Hale Family Building at Boston Children’s Hospital was constructed to address critical pediatric capacity needs. The facility represents the largest expansion in the hospital’s history. The 11-story building includes two double-height mechanical penthouse spaces and four below grade floors. This shell and core project had over 800,000 pounds of ductwork and required careful planning and coordination due to the site’s close proximity to active hospitals.
